What makes you think he doesn’t know? All of his tweets are vetted by members of his staff.

I didn’t think that you were dumb enough to think that Trump was dumb. He knew exactly how his tweet would be taken. Now the grabblers have to decide if they want to support the idea that

their own people will be the most likely to be red flagged, or

that there has to be way more due process, or

that some people are Better Than and red flags won’t apply to them, or

maybe the whole thing should be shelved and they weren’t really serious about it.

None of those options are good for his opposition.

You have children. If you think of Trump as a parent who is sharing custody with a brat that has to be disciplined and the left are those brats, everything he does makes sense.
