Why are anti-gun activists so violent?

They want you dead. They just lack the fortitude to do it themselves.

It’s amazing to me that the same people who fear a Trump tyranny are also calling for gun bans and government confiscation.

Once you’ve accepted the notion that government is responsible for “running” things, for determining all outcomes, then disarmament, or at least attempted disarmament, is inevitable. Central planning depends on the use of coercion at every turn. It is in fact coercion that is central to all Progressive (authoritarian) thinking. It is that original, and utterly false, pretense of authority that will lead to certain destruction. All other details are just pebbles on the highway to hell.

So we’re arguing over the best way to get to hell on Earth. Forgive me if I’m not terribly interested in the details of same.

If the Rude Pundit is to be consistent then he or she should also call for the banning of motor vehicles. Many more die in this country in vehicle accidents, and even vehicular homicides, than from shootings. Therefore “we” should ban vehicles and confiscate them even from those who operate them safely, responsibly and legally. Door to door confiscation. “If it can save just one life” after all! it MUST be done and it must be done (and this is the most important part) by force. That motor vehicles are used for productive purposes, and even life-saving purposes is irrelevant. They kill, regardless, and how long can we put up with so much death?

In fact, to the authoritarian, coercion is god. Coercion can accomplish all things, and without it “we” are nothing. The chain of command in the authoritarian system then serves as The Tree of Life, and technology (when under the strict control of the coercives) is The Water of Life.

Anyone who stands in opposition to the Almighty Coercion-God is therefore an apostate, a blasphemer, a heretic, and so the Coersion-God must wrathfully smite those unholy ones into ruins.

Since the armed citizen stands as a reminder of the Law of Liberty, as a reminder that coercion can and should be thwarted, gun ownership is one of the primary thorns in the side of any authoritarian. They cannot STAND IT!

The average authoritarian could not give a shit less about people dying. That’s just a smoke screen, a fraud used to build up a cloak of false righteousness. In fact every one of them believes that there are far too many people on Earth already, and would be glad for a major plague or other mass die-off of humanity. They sometimes cannot help themselves and will come right out and say so.

It is a well known psychological fact that most humans have to work themselves up quite a bit in order to commit violence, especially against other humans. What we are witnessing these days is the organized stimulation of large numbers of people towards violence. Some such as James T. Hodgkinson will crack sooner than others and commit heinous acts all alone. Others will be violent only in groups, such as Antifa. Some will not even know they are going to be violent until the peaceful march or protest suddenly has rocks being thrown, such rocks being conveniently provided along the parade route, of course.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
