SCOTUS denies cert in Friedman v. Highland Park

Sebastian has some analysis. Basically, we need one more judge on right side of history. My guess is that the good guys on the court realized they didn’t have the win in the bag and punted. I could be wrong, of course.

Thomas filed a sharp dissent.

    Thomas seems to get it.

There are two possible explanations for the court’s reluctance here. They are either cowardly or they have an anti-American bias.

Not sure, but I think the dissent can be used as precedent by a lower court. Could be useful.

  3. Richard Says:

Votes on cert need to be public so we can know where the problem is. I suspect Roberts but have no proof because of the secrecy.

As a product of the US education system and Latin illiterate does this mean that my town can ban possession of evil looking guns and magazines at will now? TIA

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
