In a broader sense, Progressivism in general, and the other authoritarian schemes, can be said to be a rebellion against reality. They always seem to work too, which is to say they always result in destruction, so don’t say it can’t be done.
Kipling wrote about this nearly a hundred years ago;
“The burnt fool’s bandaged hand goes trembling back to the fire.”
Well, no. This means they’re going to break their indenture to the EU and take back their sovereignity. Even if they have to live without Amazon and iTunes.
