School stupidity

Wrap your head around this bout of Teh St00pid:

A 16-year-old Cypress Lake High School student, who wrestled a loaded revolver away from a teen threatening to shoot, is being punished.

The student grappled the gun away from the 15-year-old suspect on the bus ride home Tuesday after witnesses say he aimed the weapon point blank at another student and threatened to shoot him.

The student, who Fox 4 has agreed not to identify because he fears for his safety, says there’s “no doubt” he saved a life by disarming the gunman. And for that he was suspended for three days.

If true, he should be given a medal. Not a suspension.

There may come a day when sending your child to public school will be considered child abuse.

Apparently he didn’t use the approved “ballpoint pen” defense.

Given that it was a Rohm revolver the kid probably saved the shooters life as well!

Anyone connected in punishing this kid should be fired and get thirty days in jail. I don’t understand this country…

My son almost fell into a “no self defense” accusation while in public school. Fortunately, when the irate father of the other kid came to my house demanding justice for his aggrieved son, his kid admitted to starting the affray. Suitably calmed, the father and I decided there was no use in going to school authorities about it, as long as no more school bus fights broke out between our two kids.

Not at all surprisingly, they became friends.

I’m calling media frenzy on this one. I can understand suspending the kid pending an investigation. About the only actual clear facts at this point are that there were some kids, who had a gun. Media reports say that the witnesses are pretty much of one mind. Good, the investigation will end quickly, and the suspended kid’s record will include a well-deserved gold star for “saved life; is hero”. But let’s still have a decent investigation.

Did’nt y’all know? One is’nt suppossed to take action on one’s own to save one’s self or someone else! One is supposed to wait for the police to handle such things! That seems to be the “message” that the libs running the schools want to drum into kids these days.

And heavon forbid that one should defend one’s self! The principal at my daughter’s High School in Kalifornistan wanted to suspend her for defending herself when she was attacked by 2 other girls.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
