Larry Wayne Thornton of Forsyth, Ga., was sentenced to four years of probation for “possession of an unregistered firearm” and “possession of a firearm without a serial number.” He is one of 17 people pardoned today.
Unregistered? It’s Georgia, registration is prohibited by state law. So, was this an NFA item?

Yup. Under federal law, “firearm” = NFA.

IF we were operating by “the Supreme Law of the Land” (Article VI, Section 2) “under federal law”, i.e. “delegated powers” re; weapons, would only include those “who may be EMPLOYED by the United States” (Article I, Section 8.16)

Well, on The Walking Dead last night, Rick knew which stores in Hometown, GA had guns in them because he signed off on their registration when he was a deputy…so there is that.
Though in the comic he was from a suburb of Lexington, KY.
