I particularly love the politburo sounding Gun Facts: If Only The Criminals Had Guns, U.S. Gun Homicides Would Plummet. That man is a few fries short of a happy meal. Of course, he thinks his group has 14M members so he and reality aren’t exactly tight.

You’re aware that the US has a much higher homicide rate for murders *not* using guns, too, aren’t you? And that the disparity between US and British homicide rates goes way back to 1900 or even earlier–i.e. to a time when neither country had any significant limitations on firearm ownership? Your thesis is *way* too simplistic…

Well, homicide is just killing of a man, and he doesn’t specify that they have to be criminal homicides…
So if by magic we removed all police guns, and all lawfully owned guns, I bet he’s right.
Cops kill a fair number of people, and the majority of “gun homicides” are really suicides.
Now, I utterly disagree that this would improve the actual real-world situation, but the homicide rate would certainly plummet, even if criminals killed significantly more people.
(In other words, he got this one right by accident, and not in the way he wanted.)

He is right!
Sure if no cops had guns and no honest citizens had guns I’m sure the homicide rate would go down.
At least the JUSTIFIED homicide rate would go down!
But the MURDER rate would go up!
