Make no mistake, Jon Stewart’s bread and butter is the partisan snipe of the day with a side order of straw man. But, he also does bits like this one about “the party of inclusion” which are hilarious even though it skewers his own side.

This is my most very favorite clip from recent TV. I love it. But not for it’s face value which is very appealing.
It’s that they are assholes but they are the EXACT SAME assholes as people the always cry about how Liberals are destroying the country, how the DUMBocrats are all idiots, how the LEFT is all a bunch of coastal elites and welfare moms who want to see democracy fail… BUT NEITHER SIDE of these assholes realizes just how much they have in common with the other. Including of course some people on gun blogs/forums.
That’s the part I love. That these people on both sides are the actual problem. If you identify wholly on every issue with one side or the other YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. These people were at the RNC as well, just with opposite generalizations and stereotypes. Good on the dailyshow for calling out both sides over the two conventions.

SteveA, oh? I believe they would say your side wants to take plenty of things they care about, Abortion, social safetynets, pollution and drilling regulations, etc.
You can’t be wholly one side or the other while being a decent human being. This clip showed assholes on the left side, my point is they are identical on the right.
