NRA goes after incumbent?

House Republican Caucus Chairman Debra Maggart has not been so good on gun rights lately, stalling some legislation. Despite her clay shoots and the constant emails I get from her on her pro-gun stances, the proof is in the pudding. NRA has shelled out cash for her opponent, which is odd since they usually back incumbents who are reasonably pro gun.

Sounds like the NRA is sending a Message to the Candidates: 100% or else.

Too bad my RINO Congress Critter already made it through the Primary. Guess Steve LaTourette decided that he didn’t need to heed the NRA Warning on Holder’s Contempt Vote.

But, hey, guess who’s gonna Vote for Steve’s Democratic Opponent in November?

I’d rather have an Honest Commie than a RINO.

And No, I’m not Voting for Obama. I said “Honest.”

Too Bad I have to Vote for RINO Romney, damn it.

    I have some insight here.

Maggart is part of the House GOP leadership. She is the one that basically told the TFA “it’s not like you’re going to start voting Democrat” after she blocked the Employee Safe Commute bill.

She stepped on the NRA’s toes and then made it personal, saying she killed the bill because the NRA and the TFA wanted it too badly.

So this isn’t surprising at all. I’ve met LTC Rogers and she’s one of the good ones. She was on local radio over the weekend and had a great line about the private property vs self defense rights brou-ha-ha.

“After a tornado, no one says ‘Well, my wife/husband/child is dead, but at least I still have my house.’ No one says that because everyone recognizes your life is more important than property.”

Oh, sorry: I was pretty sure the question was,
    “What gun for rhino?”

    Bubblehead Les,

If RINO Romney wants my vote, he’ll have to come get it and earn it…as does any other candidate to be my EMPLOYEE.

Ddebra Maggart’s job, as all legilators, is to vote for any bill which is pursuant to the Tennessee Declaration of Right, in this case, Article I, Section 26. And what other exercise of rights may businesses violate in an employee’s vehicle?

  6. Bryan S. Says:

Ive heard the term “RINO” for years, and it seems like there are so many of them, more than the non “RINO” So when does the descriptor flip?

Me thinks too many that use the term have rose colored glasses while looking at the Republican field. There are plenty of progressives there, very mainstream ones, that people wont call RINO, but are just as damaging to the republic.

Elephant dung is just as nasty as donkey.

  7. Sumner County TN Says:

This is not all she has done to undermine the people, that she is suppose to represent. Lets not forget how she was responsible for presenting a bill that eliminated our Teachers ability eliminate collective bargaining. The irony to that story….She sponsored this bill for “Tennessee School Board Association” (aka…was paid to carry the bill). This was never about our children. It was about her getting paid from “Tennessee School Board Association” to push out the “Tennessee Education Association”….

    Glad to see her leaving!

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
