The Kool-Aid has gone to the top

At the GSSF match, I ran into Mike who was anxious to tell me that Patrick A. Rogers (yes, that one) had done an article in SWAT magazine announcing he was switching from 45ACP to 9mm. I’ve been making the switch for a while now. I now have one 45 caliber handgun that I keep for sentimental reasons (the Gun Blog 45, which I’d trade for the Gun Blog 9). As to why, well here you go.

Mr. Rogers has been carrying the Smith and Wesson M&P9.

I was surprised when I read it, but it makes sense, and I like you only keep the 45’s because, I want to. But 9mm has been my choice for some time.
From the Gunblog shoot I was able to get one of each, but recently posted the 45 on Gunbroker.

Pat’s article in SWAT is the same reasoning my buddy in MA swapped out his big-bore for a 9mm – except he went with as Ruger (WTF?). More ponies under the hood vs. torque.

Reminds me of missing out on that sweet ’74 nickle Commander in 9mm – I think that was what got my mental gears turning and indirectly lead to the Ed Brown Kobra.

I’ll always keep my 1991A1 commander model because it was my first handgun purchase. All my go to weapons will be 9mm though…

I understand your logic but in California we can only have 10 round magazines so I will stick to my .45 ACP pistols.

    You’ll be back….

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
