Random Food Things I Just Found Out About

An easy garlic peeler. I never knew these existed. I did know about the two bowl method.

Also, peeling ginger made easy.

  1. Weer'd Beard Says:

We have one of those garlic rollers. They’re much easier than the metal bowl method if you’re only peeling a few cloves which is 90% of the time in our kitchen.

    Also cool on the ginger!

  2. Standard Mischief Says:

    I don’t peel ginger.

I buy it when it is very fresh and the skin is smooth and light brown. Then I wash about 2 lbs worth and grate the whole mess at once into a few mayo jars.

The last step is to cover the ginger with sherry, screw a lid on top and stick it in the fridge.

It lasts at least a year and a half.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
