Thanks. If you don’t mind, i leave some comments about it here.
Near to selector, left from it – is cover lock, svd-type. There’s no upper, almost the same stamped cover, but with rail now.
Safety selector from left to right – “full auto -> 3-shot -> single shot -> safety on”
Button near flapper – bolt hold release.

    Sorry for crude syntax.

Looks very nice, some much needed updating. Hopefully we will see civilian versions of these in the US. The new safety selector and the railed top cover with the rear sight at the rear of the receiver are both most welcome. I like the tiny length of rail on top of the gas block. The folding+extendable buttstock looks nice as well.

Interesting that the poster lists 4 cartridges: 5.45, 5.56, 7.62×39, and 7.62×51. Is a formally accepted military design, or just something built in the hopes that it will be adopted?

Question: is the charging handle still reciprocating and fixed to the bolt carrier, on the right side? I think I see the charging handle, but it is pretty thin and pointing straight at the camera, so it’s hard to tell from the pics provided. I also do not see the typical cutout in the top cover to allow for movement of the charging handle, so it must have been redesigned somehow. It would be nice if it were switchable left/right, and even better if it were a non-recip design.

  4. Alexander Says:

Gun Blobber, not yet, IzhMash built it without military design, because army refused to buy more of AK74.
Charging handle is still fixed, but it moved forward. Close to handguard. So, you have to look for cutout there. Well, it doesn’t look safe, but this is a first prototype shown in public, may be in future it will be moved somewhere else.

Very cool. Looks like they solved a lot of the problems that came with the AK design.

Now the big question is “Are the mags still slow to swap?”

    Does Ivan Chesnokov approve?
