Presidential Horse Race Coverage

Perry to drop out, endorse Newt. Amazing how a man can enter the race at the top and not survive after a couple of debates.

Meanwhile, it looks like Santorum actually won Iowa. That is frightening.

And the press is in full on destroy folks with Rs after their name mode. Seems Newt’s ex did an unflattering interview. And Romney is rich.

  1. RobertM Says:

The Iowa count is well within the margin of cheat, so not really noteworthy.

  2. mike w. Says:

You’ve gotta love how the MSM portrays Romney as an “evil rich guy” while Obama is a multi-millionaire who somehow magically identifies with average, middle-class working Americans.

  3. Ron W Says:

I don’t care about their personal wealth. I do want to know who their donors are. The top donors for Romney and Obama are pretty much the same…being the big banks which received bailouts which they both supported. But I simply want my EMPLOYEES from the Prez on down to be held to the SAME STANDARD as I am. I have to work according to my written job description. I want them to work according to theirs…the Constitution, a legal contract written according to the rules of English grammar, to which they take an oath. If they won’t, same as me, they are UNFIT and thus DISQUALIFIED for the job

  4. Cargosqsuid Says:

So…Newt’s 2nd wife is spilling her guts, saying that Newt doesn’t have the morals to be President…because he wanted to sleep with other women……

2nd wife. The homewrecker. The former mistress.

“I’m shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!”

  5. Paul Says:

As much as I like Perry (a fellow Texan) he was just serious. I mean he just did’t take it seriously!

  6. Ron W Says:

I’m much more concerned about whoever I elect not selling out to globalism and the international banking cartel rather than American sovreignity, independence and their oath to the Constitution. As long as they maintain fidelity to their oath of office, what my EMPLOYEES (President , Congrss, Judges) do in their private lives is NONE of my business…just as my private life is NONE of my employer’s business when I am not on the job.

  7. Mike Says:

Gingrich or Santorum could actually get me to vote for Obama. It makes me ill.

  8. (Another) Mike Says:

Gingrich is a no-good, womanizing lout! Heaven protect us! Why, why…he’s the kind of man who’d probably diddle a White House intern. Imagine the scandal!

A politician should be pure and true: he should f**k the country, not the interns. Obama 2012!

BTW, does this mean that “It’s Just About Sex”(TM) no longer applies in the world of politics? I’d like to know, ’cause the MSM turn-around on this one almost gave me whiplash.

  9. HL Says:

Well, a politician’s “personal matters” really ARE the business of The People for multiple reasons, you know, aside from morals.

    1. They become a distraction. We got bogged down in shitty mess over Clinton’s personal faults. He didn’t pay attention to Al Qaeda because he was worried about Ken Starr. Should the replublicans have let it go and not made a big deal about it? Regardless of the anwser, see #2.

    2. Extortion. If they have personal problems, what happens when a foreign interest–or domestic for that matter–finds out about those “personal matters” and decides to black mail them? The politician must NOT be a potential blackmail victim.

  10. Ron W Says:

I’m gonna vote for whoever tries to get my vote.

  11. Beaumont Says:

Mike (not mike w.), a sock monkey would make a better Prez than Obama. If you vote for him, you deserve every nasty thing that Barry has in store for you.

  12. DevsAdvocate Says:

Ron Paul is looking better and better every day…

  13. Ron W Says:

    HL,
You have a good point, especially if the personal matters are current and ongoing.

The original (Boston) Tea Party leader ssiad this:

“He who is void of virtuous attachments in private life is, or very soon will be, void of all regard for his country. There is seldom an instance of a man guilty of betraying his country, who had not before lost the feeling of moral obligations in his private connections.” –Samuel Adams

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
