Restrain your dogs

Even police dogs. Also, it’s a bit unnerving given the increase in police shootings of dogs that the police response to the incident is to talk about what a good dog the out of control animal is and what the dog did in service.

Also, as someone who used to help train police dogs, this dog attacked an 8 year-old and, thankfully, didn’t do a lot of damage. Seems the dog is focused on the sleeve.

So you are in your yard, watching your child play. A dog runs up and begins attacking him. You shoot the dog. Want to take bets on what happens to you when the off duty cop comes running?

  2. Ted N(not the Nuge) Says:

“Anything running, they’re trained … could be a potential threat. And all he’s doing is reacting and doing what he was trained to do,” Rusnak told WFMJ.

…Then why’d you not have it securely on a freaking leash, you dumb asshole! rage rage rage rage, only ones, rage rage rage rage…

  3. Jake Says:

What idiot lets a trained attack dog off the leash? And make no mistake, “police dog” = “trained attack dog”.

    Bloody fracking xi niu moron!

  4. John Smith. Says:

Sounds like a classic like you only better scenario.. My dog attacks 8 year it is put down.
Police dog attacks 8 year old it is the 8 year olds fault because the dog is a hero…

If he shoots like most cops, then the investigators lie up a story about how I ambushed them both?

If I were a vet, my policy would be that the only treatment any schweinhund would get from me would be euthanasia, or at least the extraction of all of its teeth.

Being from GA, I despise the memory of Bill Sherman and want to piss on his grave. However, his men did one thing right; they killed any dog which they suspected was bred and trained to go after people.

  7. John Smith. Says:

You do realize that Sherman was also insane???

  8. Jeff Says:

Wait, maybe I’m naïve, but police dogs are trained to attack “anything that runs”. Even without being “instructed” to? No wonder the local PD was so nervous when the K-9 officer showed up when we had the cubscouts outside at the police station!

  9. Chris Says:

I’ve heard of many occasions where someone injuring or interfering with a police dog was charged as though they had assaulted or interfered with a human police officer. I’ve noticed, however, that when a police dog is overzealous or attacks in error it is never charged with police brutality.

  10. Ferret Says:

Since the dog is considered a police officer for the purpose of assaults on its person, would this be construed as a negligent discharge of the officer’s weapon?

  11. Firehand Says:

Yeah, that “Anything running, they’re trained … could be a potential threat” bullshit got me, too. I never heard of a trained dog seeing ANYTHING RUNNING as something to be attacked, WITHOUT ANY COMMAND… Either the dog is badly trained, out of control or both. And the officer who let it off the leash in public is a fucking idiot.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
