Fearing the normalization

Dennis Henigan is shocked and amazed that Rick Perry is an extremist gun owner who carries a gun! Why, it’s just shocking and appalling to him. I imagine it’s shocking to him exactly because no one but the Brady campaign seems to really have their panties in a twist.

And Joe offers a reminder about other politicos who’ve carried guns.

Update: Out and proud. Heh.

Just substitute the word “Americans” into this quote and here is the way the Brady Campaign still thinks:

“Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA – ordinary citizens don’t need guns, as their having guns doesn’t serve the State”
Heinrich Himmler, Chief of the Nazi Gestapo

  2. Teke Says:

It’s another + in the reasons to vote for him column.
He has his detraction’s but he’s got his pluses too.

  3. Bubblehead Les Says:

The Lefties are hoping that they can catch him carrying during the Campaign, so as to have him Arrested by the Police for Breaking “Gun Laws.”

But since he was on record using a Ruger LCP in .380 against that Coyote, I think they have to stick their hands into his pockets to find out for sure.

  4. Keith Says:

If politicians carrying guns bother them so much, come to Chicago and disarm the city aldermen, who are allowed to carry concealed. Your boy Rahm, as a member of MAIG should want to help you with that.

  5. Paul Says:

You mean Rick only carries ONE? And a mouse gun at that!

Somebody has got to tell Rick to get something bigger.

  6. Chas Says:

    Nuclear football = no problem
    Ruger LCP = PSH

    Heinie again is teh funny!

  7. IZinterrogator Says:

While Perry is a big advocate of concealed carry, he admitted on Guntalk that he is not a fan of open carry.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
