North Dakota is not really a state.

Does that mean that North Dakotans get a refund of all the taxes theyve paid to the fedgov?

    Why are you laughing?

  2. North Says:

North Dakota is the only state in good financial shape. Perhaps it should stay the way it is…

  3. wildbill Says:

If Odumbo thinks he can’t win in 2021 he’ll just kick out all the red states ’til only the lefty states are still in the Union.

  4. wildbill Says:

So North Dakota’s Electorial votes don’t count? Gore really did win?

  5. North Says:

Can this country get a “do over” dating back to 1889?

Move over Hawaii – North Dakota will be the 50th state.

  6. Dragon Says:

North Dakotans should take this as a sign of Divine Intervention, declare themselves a Free and Independent Country, seize all the instantly-illegal assets of the FedGov and hold them as collateral until such time as all illegally collected taxes are refunded to both the Country of ND and the Sovereign Citizens of ND (those pesky Fed Taxes and SS *contributions*).

Build a border fence with the re-imbursed funds, encourage firearms production, coin a *real* currency, etc…

Then sit back and watch as a crapton of other states look for any little loophole that *they* can exploit to follow suit, and become prosperous Sovereign Countries.

  7. Magus Says:

Oh horsefeathers. This is a big hoo-doo about nothing.

Article VI of the Constitution for the United States of America requires the “…Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution…”

Where is it written that a State is even required to have a constitution?

  8. Sid Says:

I am reminded of an SNL skit with Eddie Murphy in which he had discovered that President Lincoln had never signed the Emancipation Proclamation.

  9. Sebastian Says:

I’m with Magus. North Dakota is still a state, and always was.

  10. Jamie Says:

I was born, raised and will forever reside in ND and Tim Mathern(D. Fargo) is a liberal piece of shit…don’t doubt me! I and most people I know would be perfectly fine with WESTERN, ND being it’s own country. The Eastern 1/3 of ND can get annexed by the fucking libnuts in Minn. Fargo, ND is a swollen puss pocket of fucking liberal shit stacks that we in western, ND want no part of!!!

  11. workinwifdakids Says:

    Omigod, I just realized something.

Minot AFB actively houses active nuclear weapons. Does this mean that North Dakota just became a nuclear power?

  12. 45er Says:

    Workin – Bwahaha

  13. Bill Says:

That’s OK. When Southern CA secedes we’ll be topped up again.

  14. CVX Says:

If we’re concerned about flaws in following the Constitution, it would seem ND has the same status as West Virginia. States were not to be carved out from existing states, but that didn’t stop Lincoln from splitting Virginia when he needed the votes.

  15. Jason Says:

@workinwifdakids At one point, ND would have been the 4th largest nuclear power in the world if it became and independent nation. Most (all?) of the missile silos have been decommissioned since then so I don’t know where we’d stand now, though we still have a bunch of B-52s loaded with nukes. 🙂 Watch your step MN.

  16. Old NFO Says:

Paperwork… The job is NOT done till ALL the paperwork is completed, just sayin…

  17. Bruiser Says:

Does that mean we’re back to only 56?

  18. Robert Says:

If I was Sioux, I’d be pissed.

  19. Beaumont Says:

Hey, N.D., one word: casinos. If it worked for the Indian “nations”, it should work for a territory.
