ATF and guns smuggled into Mexico

It really is a daily feature.

Project Gunrunner tied directly to Obama. Sure it is. But not Fast and Furious, that we know of.

Fast and Furious, however, is actually linked to some higher ups.

And any doubt that this program was designed to promote gun control has now been removed:

Can you see if these guns were all purchased from the same FfL and at one time. We are looking at anecdotal cases to support a demand letter on long gun multiple sales. Thanks Mark R. Chait Assistant Director Field Operations.

  1. Gregory Markle Says:

“The expression anecdotal evidence refers both to evidence that is factually unreliable, as well as evidence that may be true but cherry-picked or otherwise unrepresentative of typical cases. In other words, there are two distinct meanings:

    (1) Evidence in the form of an anecdote or hearsay is called anecdotal if there is doubt about its veracity; the evidence itself is considered untrustworthy.

    (2) Evidence, which may itself be true and verifiable, used to deduce a conclusion which does not follow from it, usually by generalizing from an insufficient amount of evidence. For example “my grandfather smoked like a chimney and died healthy in a car crash at the age of 99” does not disprove the proposition that “smoking markedly increases the probability of cancer and heart disease at a relatively early age”. In this case, the evidence may itself be true, but does not warrant the conclusion.

In both cases the conclusion is unreliable; it may not be untrue, but it doesn’t follow from the “evidence.”

Chiat was at least being completely honest about what they were looking for, which is refreshing!

The townhall site is almost unreadable with all of the pop-ups and flash. Even with popup blocker enabled and adblock and flashblock installed. It’s even worse than Uncle’s site, here.

  3. Justthisguy Says:

Say, Uncle, is your name really Chance, as in Vought?

  4. SayUncle Says:

    yes and no.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
