HK416

The SEAL team supposedly used the piston-driven AR-ish sort of gun ~~with pins in the wrong places~~. So reports Military Times.

Update: I’m told that there are models where the pins are in the right place. Nice.

Pretty sure the HK416 has standard takedown pins? It’s the US made version that does not.

Nope. The original HK416 and the US MR556A1 both have standard pin locations. It’s the European-market version, the MR556 that has non-standard pin locations.
