Will not implement it since it violates his oath of office.

I’ll take him seriously when he stands in the hospital Emergency Room door wielding an axe to keep federal funding out of his state coffers.

Until then he is a poor imitation of that real Democrat icon, George Wallace.

  2. Matthew Carberry Says:

He’s basing his decision on an actual Federal judge saying the individual mandate is unConstitutional, thus he has actual formal knowledge that beginning to enact it would be unConstitutional thus that it would violate his oath of office.

In this case principle dovetails with an actual legal ruling rather than just personal opinion.

But heaven forfend a politician want a little legal cover when doing something that, while right, costs his state money.

In the comments I saw one boob whining that the government could force you to buy car insurance, implying that therefore the Obamacare mandate was constitutional. Also demonstrating the boob’s complete ignorance of the Federal constitution, the Tenth Amendment, and the doctrine of limited and delegated powers.

Q: What is a liberal’s definition of what is constitutional?

A: If a liberal likes it, it’s constitutional; if a liberal doesn’t like it, it’s unconstitutional! That’s what they mean by a “living constitution”.

Since when did a politician acknowledge his oath of office? This is a fascinating new development.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
