If it is in the contract, then shame on us for not renegotiating.

Then again, that would have solved the entire mess, and not on the dime of the taxpayer.

  2. Dan Says:

    “imported from detroit”

  3. DirtCrashr Says:

They work for GovtMotors just like the guys at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac who made millions in bonus money.

  4. Chas Says:

Did they pay back the $30 billion in taxpayer funding before giving themselves 50% bonuses?
Government Motors needs to die, but it is likely unkillable now.
American taxpayers were doing such a good job of avoiding GM’s inferior products that the company went bankrupt. However, Obama decided that we were going to buy GM anyway. Now that the .gov has spent $30 billion on that crap organization, GM will never be allowed to fail. We’ll be stuck with it forever. Socialized car making. Welcome to the new America, Comrade. I hope you like it, because you’re paying for it, whether you like it or not, Comrade.

  5. Ellen Says:

    I just bought a Ford.

  6. Jeff from DC Says:

At least the accelerators are possessed by Kamikaze. Or at least the government isn’t trying to convince people that the accelerators are possessed by Kamikaze.

  7. SPQR Says:

Chas, actually GM sold a lot of cars and was selling a lot of cars up to the point of the bailout.

The problem was the GM was so incompetent that it sold a lot of cars and still lost money.

It should have died and the capital gone to better uses, instead the govt continues its inefficiency on our backs.

I’ll never buy a GM or Chrysler product again.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
