At the NRA Show: Tactical Solutions

One of the more innovative companies out there is Tactical Solutions. Their Pac-Lites for Ruger pistols are nice. Their SBX is an ingenious design that allows a suppressor to be put on a 16 inch barrel without having to pay the NFA tax. But I am most excited about their TSG-22, a 22LR conversion kit for Glock pistols. Gabe was gracious enough to talk with me about the kit. Here’s a video shot from the NRA convention floor:

A few things about it that I think will make it the conversion kit of choice for practicing cheaply. First, a 15 round magazine definitely makes it fun and more realistic, since your 17/22 hold more than ten rounds. Next, the steel slide so its weight is comparable to regular Glocks. It comes with Glock sights, which is not an inherent plus but it does mean it will take the various after market Glock sights. A kit for the 17/22 is coming out first, then the 19 and 23. I’d like one for my G30 but may have to get a 17 just to get one of these kits. And, bonus, a threaded barrel version for folks with suppressors.
