You do have a first amendment right to shut up

It’s in there. Right next to the “good and welfare” clause, beside the right to privacy, in the glowing penumbra of the right to health care. You’re just not looking close enough.

“Right of the people to be secure in their persons…” is 4th Amendment;
My usual response is “you could also be hit by a stray police bullet; if you survive, you can sue. If you don’t, your family can sue. That’s how your right is protected.”
