I have to wonder which ship is sinking. I’m hoping it’s the Democrat ship, but it might be bigger than that.
After all, Tanner was pretty secure here and he was one of the first to bail.

ELECTED incumbents choosing to retire in 2010:
House: Rep – 14, Dem – 10, which is 7% of R’s vs 4% of D’s
Senate: R – 6, D – 2 (4 if including D’s APPOINTED for Obama/Biden), 15% vs 7% (using 4 D’s)
Non-term limited Governors: R – 4 (not including Palin), D – 3, 17% vs 12%

Yea I bet they got tons of money in kickbacks. That’s the Democrat way.
Bet whatever Obamacare brings, they get ‘royalties’.

It doesn’t all have to be bribes etc. They leave with FULL salary as a “retirement” income, plus free medical/dental for the rest of their worthless lives – and not the crappy medical they shoved down our throats, no, they get the good, high-quality stuff.
And for the good troopers, bho will appoint them to some commission or ambassadorship where they will keep getting paid their retirement income plus get to draw even more taxpayers’ money in a non-elected role.

Not to mention the unspent campaign warchests they will get to keep. The compilation of which started for each of them the day their last election was done.
