Hate when that happens

You’re out mowing the lawn, minding your own business and you find a missile launcher.

Update: In comments, my dad says:

Not as bad as it seems. The tube is useless, the sight is the actual weapon, the yellow ban indicates it was a training device. Just like finding a piece of brass.

I dug a couple of expended LAW rockets out of the dumpster while in the Army. Still have one hanging on the wall in the garage.

  3. Fox Says:

Blue band indicates training, Yellow indicates combat rounds on systems like that.

  4. Hlynkacg Says:

Sorry DAD but when it comes to ordnance training rounds are marked with a Blue band, Yellow bands are live.

You are right about the rest though.

Been retired for over 25 years and the mind plays with me on some things but I do remember about the sight being the weapon not the tube also when we finished fireing them they were sent to TASCO for the markings to be used in training, I never cared much for the Dragon a lot of problems. I did like the TOW but I prefered the M-72 much eaiser to hump.

OD green w/ yellow band means – HE or “HIGH EXPLOSIVE.”

For reference: OD GREEN W/YELLOW is on:
    C4,
    M67 Frag Grenades
    M72A2 LAW
    Any ARMY HE-AT rounds

Probably one of the 1st things I learned at Redstone.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
