Abstract concepts v. specifics

Or why Obama seems to be a more effective campaigner and less effective actually executing specific things. Probably has something to do with the fact his entire career has been centered on getting the next job and not doing the current one. That’s tough when you’re at the top.

I think it also has something to do with the fact that in a modern campaign, all the scutwork is done by staff. All the candidate really has to do is trot around onstage looking good and repeating words that somebody else wrote.

Actually governing is a considerably different kettle of fish.

Well, there seems to be some indications he is now working on his next job at the UN. That would suit him. More corruption, fewer annoying free citizens.

He’s not at the top yet. He’s merely the leader of the non-totalitarian government of a single country. Lots of room left to grow.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
