another man with a gun incident

Man with Glock goes to recycling center. Drops of glass, aluminum, assorted paper products to keep the Earth a bit nicer. Mingles with hippies. Hippies don’t notice gun. No hippies harmed.

Even better – Today, a health care professional managed to discover a concealed weapon on her patient.

    Complete NOTHINGNESS happens
    .

  2. Brigid Says:

I’ve managed to go to the local market for 4 years now without a shoot out with hippies in the Kefir Corral.

  3. Rustmeister Says:

No hippies harmed? You say that like it’s a good thing.

  4. Jeff Says:

Regular trips to Trader Joes in Las Vegas, No hippies harmed so far.

Sounds like every day life here in Austin, Texas…. at least for some of us. 🙂

  6. BillH Says:

No hippies harmed at the Boise mall or the grocery store this afternoon either. Laughed at, but not harmed.

You might be interested to know that there’s a strain of hippie that is very supportive of the 2nd Amendment.

Think about the kind of guys that retreated into Northern California 40 years ago. These are real back-to-the-land, don’t tread on me, distrust the government types, and they all have guns. They’re left-libertarians. They just want to grow and smoke their weed, farm their (sometimes squatted) plots, and be left alone. A lot of those folks had kids. Those kids were raised with hippie values, and guns were a part of that tradition.

Fast forward to the present. Some of those kids are all grown up and still hold those values. They believe in a version of freedom that sees guns as vital to preserving their rights. They’re not pacifists so much as anarchists.

I’m friends with a lot of folks that think of themselves as latter-day hippies. Some stay as far away from guns as possible. Others are really eager to learn and enjoy. I take them shooting, always with positive results. These kids are punks, hippies, and ravers, with all that implies, but they’re also very gun-positive.

Don’t count the hippies out. They’re natural allies, even if a lot of them don’t know it.

Aw, hell. When I go off ranch I go heeled always. Meet all kinds of ranchers and assorted back-country folk all scooping in those needed staples. I’d guess about half of us are armed. (99% or more if you count truck-borne armament.) And not a single shoot-out or confrontational word among the lot. Amazing. We must be sub-standard rednecks or sumpin’.

I keep waiting for that “blood-will-run-in-the-streets” stuff but it just ain’t happening.

It never ceases to amaze me, all those libtards that think gun OWNERS are the problem…

Yes, we ALL know that there is a lot of gun violence in this nation, but the LEGAL gun owner is rarely the culprit…

How does that fact seem to conveniently escape the libtard anti-gunners and their MSM masters??

TexasFred I’d substitute responsible for legal otherwise I agree with you.

Man with gun goes to garden party, concealment works and no one notices until the gun (a Kel-Tec PF-11) is revealed to a CHL holder (in private) who asks about Kel-Tec 9 mm’s.

Result? Man with gun is invited over to CHL-holder’s house nearby, goes and is gifted with a bunch of primers which CHL holder bought at an estate sale and can’t use. Also almost a box of .44 MAG El Dorado Starfire defense ammo plus almost a box of .44 Mag reloads plus a box of .44 mag hulls.

The nicest things happen to Men With Guns.

  12. Jay G. Says:

Heh. In similar news, a man with a Glock walked into a supermarket yesterday as well… No shootouts, either.

  13. Dave thA Says:

    “No hippies harmed”

    So the Glock’s faulty then?

    Maybe try a SIG?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
