Lying to win

Max Blumenthal:

If a new militia movement coalesces, its members will have no shortage of sophisticated assault weapons to choose from. At the gun show in Reno, I witnessed the sale of rocket-propelled-grenade launchers and bazooka guns; I watched a California-based dealer demonstrate how rapidly he could field strip his .308-caliber sniper rifle, then stash it in a deliberately innocuous-looking backpack and a briefcase that “looks just like a camera case.”

From Joe, who notes:

This is part of the reason the anti-gun bigots get so much traction with the public. They are willing to lie or at least have no concern for the truth. He almost for certain did not witness the sale of RPGs or bazookas since they are very highly regulated and require an extensive and expensive process involving the ATF.

Actually it seems they have been losing traction with the public as time goes on. “Be sure that your sin will find you out.”

  2. Caleb Says:

    Bazooka guns? WTF is that?

  3. ZerCool Says:

    Not lies … misinformation.

He saw the sale of RPG *launchers*. … i.e., some guy with a table full of ALICE packs and a couple of old LAW tubes.

I have no idea WTF a bazooka gun is.

I’m tired of being called everything up to and including a Child of God for defending an inalienable right and doing my job as a citizen; i.e., making sure the .gov doesn’t become a danger to its citizens (i know it already is, pretty much. But i still want to try.)

I know these people have interacted withtheir government, and they more than likely complained about how awful it is, yet they want to make it BIGGER and more powerful? That’s just retarded.

And i’d love to ask them how wise do they think it is to continually insult and degrade a large population of people known to be armed? I wish we still had a culture that demanded satisfaction from such insults.

Like duelling? Too bad it was outlawed.

I find it interesting that apparently even though the anti-civil rights crowd hates guns and guns shows, they still fantasize about going to one…
“Oh! I bet there’d be rednecks and hillbillies and yokels of every sort! All of them overweight, dressed in Klan uniforms, and with a big wad of chewing tobacco in their mouths! Oh, it would be so grand to see the infants and toddler running around with Nazi daggers in one hand and a cigarette in the other! Why, I bet I’d even see bazooka guns and fully automatic shotguns in every shopping basket! I just know I would! I just know it!!!”

  7. chris Says:

im guessing he saw some old WWII german anti-tank launchers… 100% legal because there is no ammo for them anywhere

  8. Chris Says:

I was just at the gun show in Albuquerque, NM yesterday. The Mrs. and I spent about 2 hours and went to all 350 tables. Not a single Bazooka, RPG, Thermal nuclear warhead or Nazi flag to be found. I guess thay all sold out on Saturday. Along with all the ammo!!
What a coward and he’s an idiot.

    Caleb:”Bazooka guns? WTF is that?”

I pretty sure what he was talking about was a ridiculous looking non-functional mounted display piece plated with about an 1/8″ of chrome. IIRC, it wasn’t even for sale. One of the vendors at the Reno show had it sitting on a table in an attempt to draw attention to his collection of overpriced junk.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
