I can’t drive 55

Or 50. Literally. Because whenever I’m on Alcoa Highway, there’s always a turtle race involving two cars doing about 40.

It’s that way in Oklahoma too. If the speed limit is 65 the Okies drive 60 or less. If it’s 30 they’re doing 25 or less. Folks here in Wyoming aint in much of a hurry to get anywhere either but at least we drive the speed limit. 🙂

No insult intended to the good folks in Oklahoma, they’re really great people. None better.

You have a highway named after an aluminum company?

And we have an entire town named after it. Alcoa, TN.

Whereas in southern florida… if you’re doing the speed-limit, you’re going to get rear-ended.

I have driven in all 48 contiguous states and I can say the one thing I have learned is it is really easy to tell who the cowardly Louisianans are. They are the ones with a car more than four hours old and no whiskey bruises.

Driving there is a contact sport. And they play it with reckless (wreckful?) abandon.
