I dunno, if you’re making the noise with one of these, that’s fine advice.

In other news, back in 2004 I wrote posts longer than four lines.

Case in point. Rich Hailey writes a good post asking important questions about modern voter apathy. But he uses a word which activates the “Progressive Citizens Brigade” aka the people of Progressiveville. You see, in todays enlightened age you cannot say “poll tax”, even in a historical reference. If you do for any reason you will be called a racist and a sexist.

This is modern liberalism. They see themselves as the deciders. They will chose the words of the social lexicon. They will decide which words are appropriate. God help you if you use the wrong word.

Code Pink is now resorting to witchcraft to beef up the number of its supporters protesting Berkeley’s controversial Marine Corps Recruiting Center.

The women’s anti-war group has told ralliers to come equipped with spells and pointy hats Friday for “Witches, clowns and sirens day,” the last of the group’s weeklong homage to Mother’s Day.

“Women are coming to cast spells and do rituals and to impart wisdom to figure out how we’re going to end war,” Zanne Sam Joi of Bay Area Code Pink told FOXNews.com.

The group’s week of themed protests, which included days to galvanize grannies and bring-your-daughter-to-protest, appears to have done little to boost its flagging numbers.

What’s more, Robbins noted that the ATF was able to trace the SKS rifle used to gun down Liczbinski to a gun show in Fayettville, N.C. He said that because it had been bought at a gun show, the owner did not have to undergo a background check - another proposal that’s been blocked by the gun lobby.

If it was traced to a gun show, then it would have to have had a background check performed at the show else there would be no way to trace it.

My opinion: unnecessary. When it comes to weapons, keep it simple. A firearm should do two things: 1) Go bang when I pull the trigger. 2) Don’t go bang when I’m not pulling the trigger. Mechanically, that’s it. Adding another mechanical device adds one more thing that could fail. Not a fan. It’s also why I’m not a fan of manual safeties: just one more thing to fail.
