It’s a good, thought-provoking show that discusses current political happenings. They even have a handy smart phone app so that you can, basically, comment on their show like you would a blog. I’ve sent a couple of messages to them correcting certain factual errors made, such as when Shine said there was not right to vote mentioned in the constitution or the time he said the Senate can’t enforce it’s actions or the law. And, unlike other hosts you correct, they read both corrections on the air and thanked me. I’ve even heard Steve call in on a few occasions.

Beats the other news/talk shows and definitely beats music circa 2013.

So, if you’re local, give them a listen.

The fact is, I’m not an operator operating in operations operationally. I’m no where close to operatingest*. And most people on the internet are also not operators. I’m guessing the number of actual operators who post operations on the internet is about zero since operators spend all their time operating.

I’m someone who does other stuff and happens to like guns, carry guns, and mess around with wizbang tactical gizmos. It’s fun. A hobby. It also has the benefit of saving my or someone else’s life some day. Mostly, I’m just a guy who says smart ass things on the internet. And I make a little ad money from it.

Point is, be careful who you listen to out there. I’m no expert, but I’ve encountered this before.

One day, while at Lowe’s where I pick up stuff that I have to have right now, they gave me a free hat. One day, I was wearing my hat when my 84 Lumber rep showed up and shook his head. He grabbed an 84 Lumber hat from his truck and said here you go. And, today, I was at Home Depot, who is the only place on earth that sells one particular thing I always need, I was wearing my Lowe’s hat. As I checked out, the contractor salesperson reached under the counter and handed me a Home Depot hat.

So, let’s see here, carrying a gun in Cali is illegal. Carrying onto a school, also illegal. And carrying in a library, illegal. But one more law should do it!

And, judging from the pics, he had a black powder revolver and an AR-15 upper. Just an upper was shown in the police pics. However, the video of him walking in shows what looks like an AR. I’m sure it had a bullet button and was Cali legal.

But the interesting bit is this: The ruling could also be reversed by a US presidential order within 60 days.

Judges? We don’t need no stinking judges.

I was just thinking I’d sit at home and load a couple of extra magazines for each gun.

A jury in Bexar County, Texas just acquitted Ezekiel Gilbert of charges that he murdered a 23-year-old Craigslist escort—agreeing that because he was attempting to retrieve the $150 he’d paid to Lenora Ivie Frago, who wouldn’t have sex with him, his actions were justified.

Well, sort of. Texas has some odd gun and self defense laws. It’s OK in Texas to shoot to defend property, provided it’s a night or some such. And, so, this man was stopping theft. That it was done as a result of the illegal act of hiring a hooker didn’t seem to matter.

Regardless, that’s one retarded jury.

Oh, but you are. You just don’t realize it. “You’re innocent until proven guilty” has become “you’re innocent for now. Until we look into it and even if you are, we’ll fuck your life up so bad it won’t matter.”

There are two governments. The first is the elected one and it’s comprised of ineffective, ineffectual, beholden shysters who are accountable only to the extent people stop voting for them. Since we have an incumbency rate of north of 80%, that basically means there’s little accountability. Their only purpose is to get re-elected for the perks.

The second government is the not elected government. These are the bureaucrats who typically have job titles like “associate executive assistant to the director of some secretary for some alphabet agency”. These guys are unaccountable in any way, shape, fashion or form. Hell, we can’t even get these guys fired, barring a dead body or a molested child. They’re only purpose is to make the lives of productive people expensive, stressful, or even criminal. They are judge, jury and executioner in their realm. The IRS can take all your money without a judge saying so. The EPA can shut your farm or business down without a judge’s approval. Customs can seize all your imported product at the border. For any reason they choose. You can sue and might get your stuff back. But the damage is done.

You can change the elected government all you want but that, thus far, has had zero effect on the not elected government. You are their serf. Or their vassal. Like I’ve said before, if the .gov can make you install a chair lift in your pool, it can make you pick its cotton.

And now, the elected government is siccing the not elected government on their electable foes.

You’re not voting your way out of it.
