Gun Buyback

Mr. Fixit heads to the local gun buyback:

When I told him no again he asked why I was there then. I told him that I had heard about it, and wanted to watch. I also said that if any collectible guns came in I wanted to try to buy them instead of seeing them destroyed. He told me he didn’t think I could do that.

Update: more here, with video.

Just about every time I see pictures of gun buy backs collections I always see at least one antique or C&R that I’d really like. Even if it’s just a wall hanger it would be worth more than the piddly amount the buybackers give them.

I don’t know if I have the balls to do it, but I wonder if a group of private citizens could get together and hold a “Gun Buy-up”. I guess handguns would get you in trouble… But there probably are a few decent collectibles going away.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
