Our aging pop icons

So, are The Beastie Boys now The Beastie Forty Somethings? Are Boyz II Men now just Men? And Young MC, is he now Old MC? These are the thoughts that keep me up at night.

A lot of the longhaired crowd I grew up listen to are either dead or have prostates the size of coconuts.

Nonetheless, I still like listening to the senior circuit rockers and country singers.

Most of the CDs I buy were cut several decades ago.

But Michael Jackson still plays with kids.

They’re old now, but they’re not geriatic cases yet. Unappealing, but not enough to make you cringe. Yet. When they’re skeletons in wheelchairs with skin wrinkled worse than a Shar-Pei just hanging off their bones so bad you get reflux and have to turn away, then . . .

I was just thinking about this yesterday.
The Beastie Boys started getting national attention about the time I was born.
Which means they are at least 40 aaaaaaaaand according to the great and all knowing Wiki they were born in 64, 65 and 66.

Where are these guys now? Well, it doesn’t keep me up nights, or even occupied very long.

    (@ Rustmeister: ewwww (laughing uproariously))

(@D2k: Beasties are older’n me? Never could stand that (c)rap music.)

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
