Did he lie? Eh, he probably didn’t even write the damn op-ed in the first place. I generally think Jimmy Naifeh is kind of scummy, but this is way down on the totem poll in terms of salient issues why Naifeh should go.

Yep, he should’ve been more diligent. What does it all mean? Nothing. Its kinda funny, but ultimately a pointless “controversy”.

Lying is always a ‘pointless controversy’ when your guy does it. (Same with rape charges when you’re a Dem president.) Probably all depends on the meaning of ‘is’.
