Uncle, Crone is the one that was at Blogfest. She sat to my left and your right, in between us. She is an older (as in not 20-something) lady, has short light colored hair (not sure if blond or premature gray). She was fairly quiet ... of course, being a lefty surrounded by a table full of wingnuts sometimes has that effect. Her blog used to be Thoughts of an Average Woman and she listed her name there as CE Petro.

GoldnI ... to those of us who know a little of how these here intarwebs work, yeah we could suss out your real name. But remember, we are dealing with gummint officials that just realized that AOL is NOT the whole internet, and are still marveling over this here new-fangled blogging thing.

First of all, I really don't think they're referring to someone like me. I have a blog that gets 50 hits on a good day, and I'm a good three hours away from Blount County.

Also, I'm not entirely anonymous. "GoldnI" is a play on my initials and as I've said before, I've given out enough information about myself on my blog that if someone REALLY wanted to, it would not be that difficult to figure out who I am.

Plunking hizzoner's name into teh Googles pulls up two bloggers full of wrath in just the first two pages, neither of whom uses their full, real name ... http://cronespeaks.wordpress.com and http://goldni.blogspot.com/

Crone is known to people who've been around a while, in fact, Uncle, you have met her in person .. Calhoun's last February. "Goldni" is in Nashville, and I don't see where in the Daily Times article it specifies that the anonymous blogger is in Blount County .... but then, it's late and my eyes are only half open now.

Looks like "anonymous blogger" is the new version of the old standard - "they".

The idiots at my local paper continue to refer to the commenter's on their site as "bloggers". Maybe this is just an issue of not being able to speak geek.

A comment does not make a blogger be.
