There’s no evidence he did. From today’s News-Sentinel: “[Sheriff] Jones said there was no indication that Olson knew Berry or Aymami, and court records indicate that Berry was killed as Olson was trying to burglarize their apartment.”

Les, then it is correct that Olson never knew Johnia before the break in?

9, the News-Sentinel had a fast-breaking article yesterday that had a couple of paragraphs on the arrest, then spend half a dozen paragraphs discussing the last major lead, which was the Peninsula story. (It seemed like they were sort of cleaning out their Johnia Berry file since they didn’t have much information yet on the arrest.) It was this story that I linked yesterday, but it’s been extensively revised now.

If you read it fast I can see how it would seem like Olson was tied to Peninsula, but it never said that.

For a brief moment somewhere in the news yesterday it was reported Olson and Johnia worked together at Peninsula Clinic in Blount County. Then poof, the report went away? Part of the problem was reported to be a lack of cooperation from the Clinic about information about Olson. I think it is a drug and alcohol treatment facility. I won’t swear but I thought I heard it on television.

What was that about? Les, any ideas?

The KPD stated yesterday at this time it looks as if a robbery gone wrong. Later in the day I thought I heard someone on the radio state that the accused knew her roommate, but Im not 100% sure that is what was said as I was in the other room. I did also hear that this individual confessed. Does anyone know if he confessed before being arrested, or did he confess once they had him?
