Corzine to Make New Jersey’s Gun Laws Tougher

Corzine vowed to make New Jersey’s gun laws tougher, in the wake of the DSU student shootings in Newark:

New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine’s administration will present legislation to strengthen the state’s gun laws and combat gang activities in response to Saturday’s execution-style shootings of four people in Newark.

New Jersey has some of the weakest gun laws in the country, Corzine said at a town meeting last night in South Orange. The town is adjacent to Newark, New Jersey’s largest city, where three college students were killed and one wounded last weekend in a schoolyard. Two suspects are in police custody.

Except that New Jersey has among the toughest gun laws in the nation already. It would appear that Governor Corzine is either deliberately misleading the public as to the nature of the Garden State’s gun laws, or he’s about as aware of his state’s existing gun laws as he is about its laws regarding speeding on public roads, and seat belt usage.

In the mean time, police have taken into custody a Jose Carranza, alleged ring leader of the group the committed the murders. He is an illegal immigrant, who had twice before been arrested, once for aggrevated assault, and once for rape of a child, and yet was somehow not only still in our country, but still out on the streets.

Now that we know who this guy is, rather than toughen the already strict and ineffective gun laws of his state, I call on Governor Corzine to report any illegal immigrant caught committing a crime to ICE authorities for immediate deportation. This was a failure of both government and gun control. Since it was already illegal for Carranza to purchase or possess a firearm anywhere in the United States, it can’t be said that new laws are going to help any.

Maybe now it is time to talk about cracking down on criminals.

“Maybe now it is time to talk about cracking down on criminals.”

But that would acually accomplish something! Plus it’s easier to crack down on honest citizens.

Perhaps its time to crackdown on Corzine’s crack smoking. He has to be in an altered state, I mean besides New Jersey.

  3. Magus Says:

Murder, already being an illegal activity, is now going to be made illegal-er.

  4. emdfl Says:

Magus – Unless you’re already a criminal, of course.

    Corzine is an ass.

It’s the illegal aliens he loves so much that are the crux of the problem but he and his Democratic cohorts will do noting about them, oh no. Much too difficult to enforce the current laws o the USA.

Like most of the left -wing Democrats, he never met a gun restriction law he didn’t like…even if he doesn’t understand it. How this ignorant turd ever made enough money to buy a Senate seat and then the Governorship.

Why did Sach’s and Goldman let him go again?

  6. Nomen Nescio Says:

never mind the fact that the governor of New Jersey would appear to be living in Somalia to judge by his public statements. i really don’t care much about that, because i’ve come to expect lunacy out of that state.

i’d just like if we could quit with the “he oughta have been deported!” nonsense. because it seems to assume that, so long as the goblin had only done his child-raping and execution-style multiple murder in some other country, everything’d’ve been just peachy by us. and speaking for myself, i wouldn’t be peachy by handing off violent criminals to other countries so they can keep on offending there; if there’s reason to suspect they’re criminals here, let’s damn well whip ’em into shape here, or else keep ’em locked up here for everybody’s safety’s sake. merely shipping all the sociopaths elsewhere wouldn’t help the big picture, not even if they originally came from there to begin with.

  7. Fodder Says:

If we arrest and convict a foreign national we should bill that country for the full costs of arrest, prosecution and incarceration.

If they won’t pay, it comes out of any foreign aid we would otherwise give to that country.

If our good buddy county Mexico won’t cough up for their people in our jails, we just march that border line a bit more south to cover it.

Stick a fork in NJ, it’s done.

  11. David Says:

I’m all for deporting this a**hole but can we do it after executing him for murder please? I’m pretty sure we won’t have to worry about him coming back again.
