Police work
Some moron called up the Knox County Sheriff’s Department and told them that Les Jones looked like the killer in the Johnia Berry case. Of course, this is ludicrous because Les Jones is the webmaster for johniaberry.org, which is a site dedicated to finding the killer.
Upon reading his post, I found it odd that the KCSD didn’t Google Les Jones. A few minutes of reading, and they could have figured out that Les was the webmaster there. But then it occurred to me that if they Googled Les Jones, they’d know he was a gun nut. And, instead of a knock on the door, maybe they would have gotten all ninjafied on him.

It’s hard to imagine, though, that they didn’t know who Les Jones was or that he, along with the Berry family, have at times been critical of the Knox Co. Sheriff’s handling of the case.

I don’t know if Googling me would have helped or not, but I was a little surprised they weren’t aware I was associated with the Web site. I guess they either don’t read it or didn’t make the mental connection.
As far as the gun thing, they probably already knew I had a CCW. They had a printout of my driver’s license photo, which is the same photo used for the CCW, and they both go through the DMV records.
FWIW, I don’t know for a fact the it was Henderson. I only suspect it. It might be best to take that part off.

The guy that I have over 120 emails saved that he sent to me in case my bullet ridden corpse is found somewhere?

He started out sort of OK on Johniaberry.org, then he posted this (Jason A. was Johnia’s roommate at the time of the murder):
After that post I warned him to stop making threats. He didn’t listen and I wound up banning him. He’s started talking smack to me in email, but mostly smack of the “I’M GONNA SUE YOU VARIETY” though he was happy to note that he has guns, a concealed carry permit, and a shooting trophy.
Jimmy, can I call you if I need copies of those emails?

Well this is cute? I see Les Jones has posted his big LIE against me here with Knoxnews in an effort to give his libel maximum exposure. He wants to try to ruin my business reputation by posting my name indirectly via a link to his site from here on Knoxnews for all of Knoxville and Knox county to see. When you click above on “Les Jones blogs” it takes you directly to his webpage where he states as you can see my name “Larry Henderson” as the person he is convinced is the anonymous caller reporting him to the police as looking like the Berry Killer suspect. The problem of course is that I “Larry Henderson” DID NOT report him to the police, never have, and he has NO PROOF or evidence to back that statement up at all. NONE !! Les is quite the clever little Mayberry Machievellian schemer or so he thinks trying to maximize exposure of his libel-slur and untruth regarding me but he will grow up fast when he hears from my lawyer which he will in just a few days. The stuff about so called “threats” on the Berry page has nothing to do with him or this “call the cops on him” allegation. But he is trying hard to slime me so he makes any long reach he can. I want all of Knox County to know that I, Larry Henderson, absolutely DID NOT call in to the police on this Les Jones bubba for any reason!! Not that perhaps someone should have. He obviously is extremely morally and ethically challenged. He never even gave me the chance to reply to it or even bothered to ask me if I reported him. When I wrote him at his website he would not even post or acknowledge me in my effort to inform him that I am NOT the person who reported him to KCSD. This is an absolute lie!! So, Les will be hearing from my UT Prof top gun lawyer very soon. Knoxnews needs to be careful what they link to also I might add because you linked to Les’s webpage where he libels me with this false accusation. After I informed Jones that I was getting a lawyer to look at his libel yesterday he wrote me back with a new childish and spiteful threat stating that he could somehow have my handgun carry permit taken from me. He considers himself quite influential, powerful, and well connected in Knox Republican crony circles and thinks he can pull strings and get even with me by having my gun permit taken. He focused on that I suppose because I advised women on the Berry page to get a permit and protect themselves and mentioned that I had a carry permit. It was a threat that “If you get a lawyer and sue me I will have your gun license taken away.” I am not a felon and have never used a firearm for anything but target practice. Never threatened anybody with one either though I have had to inform a few thugs that threatened me in the past that I am armed and will defend myself and my family if necessary. That’s the children posting above. They neglect to tell you what they said-mailed to me that engendered my “threats” to defend myself and family. Pretty one sided and deliberately spinned. All Karl Rove-Lee Atwater propagandists wannabes. Les is engaged in internet stalking and working hard to find something to smear me with and anything at all he can use to try to cause me problems with local law enforcement and besmirch my business reputation. Very childish, spiteful, LIBELOUS, and petty behavior. This occurs almost 2 months after I posted on Johniaberry.org and les and I have had no correspondence since. He attempted the libel-smear you read here AFTER I replied to a very rude letter from a friend of his by verbally pinning back the ears of his rude and nasty friend who first wrote me. This is a scheme and a ruse folks. Good ole boy dirty tricks. Les’ friend “Wolfpack” wrote me and asked me to write him. I did reply and got a rude, nasty, and arrogant ear full. I thoroughly chastised this Wolf fellow and three days later this allegation you see hear was posted at johniaberry.org and on Les’ bubba babble website. That’s what happened folks and that is all there is to this. Childish spite and malice from a determined child looking to play get even games after they took a verbal whuppin after attacking me. My top league UT Prof lawyer will sort it out. That’s the real story here Knoxville. I hope to have the rest of the story after we go to court printed on the front page of the Sentinal.
