Blogger shoot and where were you?

You lied. Or probably realized that since the weather was nice you’d rather sit on the patio and have some adult beverages.

Got to CCA yesterday for the blogger shoot. They asked how many I thought would be there and I said that, based on emails and comments, I expected about 15 to 20 people. But only 8 showed up. So, where were you? And you know who you are.

Still, a good time was had by all. Played with some 9mm AR-15s, an MP-5 submachine gun, and a Desert Eagle 50. I got to shoot a Sig GSR for the first time. That’s a sweet pistol. There was also a super accurate 9mm CZ. More later.

    My apologies, Unc.

I got tied up doing things around the house with my (new) wife, and wasn’t able to get out the door in time.

I loaded up my WMDs , but it was already 5:00 p.m. and I am 30 minutes away, so I decided I would be too late to do some serious shooting.

Received an email at midnight Saturday alerting to a must attend meeting else child would not get to sleep over at the zoo. We discussed Cathy going by herself but we couldn’t work out childcare and transportation issues in time.

Hell or high water on the next one!

Sorry, Uncle. Our landscaper dude came over and we were going over his spring schemes for the yard. When I looked up, it was already after 5. Time just got away from me …

Well, I was going to type all about it this morning, but Blogger is fUxx0red.

    Sigh.

    Off to work.

(It’s really hard to fake like I hate going to work, you know. 😉 )

    I was there!

Thanks again for letting me shoot the AR. Now I KNOW what I am going to do with my unfinished lower… 😀

Personally? I was at a full auto shoot on Saturday which the more stalwart of us still held despite a rather drenching and constant rainstorm (the person who designed the EZ Up needs to be sainted.) The good part about the rain is that we could hose tracer and incendiary ammo around without worrying about the fire hazard (the local fire company stages a truck there for a small donation and the Lions Club sets up a stand to serve food…pretty cool actually) although it did make getting the vehicles we were shooting to burn a bit more difficult.

Yesterday was spent scouting out a 200+ acre location here in PA which may become a dedicated full auto range and subgun match course. Other weapons will be allowed, of course, but so many ranges will not allow Class III weapons that the prospect of a range which basically caters to Class III as it’s primary purpose within a reasonably short drive is fantastic. We’re going to do a small, private subgun match there next month to get a better feel for what would be the lower range (which would mostly be pistol caliber shooting and 100 yard target ranges) and probably we’ll go look a bit closer at the upper range which would be developed towards the firing of larger caliber weapons and beltfeds.

So, I think I did my part to support the gun community…hope you guys had a great time though, we sure did despite the crappy weather!

I was planning to come but at the very last minute I swear an alien spacecraft landed in the field across the street and they looked confused because there weren’t any crops yet to make circles in and so when they came to the door to ask about it I got caught up in a conversation about…

Oh nevermind. I live far away and wasn’t planning on coming to begin with. I hope you had fun anyway.

super accurate CZ 9mm… did I leave my locker unlocked? 🙂

I’d have been there, but I knew I’d be in NashVegas today so I never promised I would.

These are some great excuses. I’m filing them away for future reference. But sorry, Michael Silence’s is the best.

I was bringing my duaghter back from Birmingham where she was visiting her mother. ON the whole, I’d rather have been shooting.

I didn’t know when in time and therefor was scheduled to work. ):

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
