A would be mass shooting at a school in Brazil was thwarted when a mom drew her heater and smoke checked the would be shooter. It’s from last year but I don’t recall seeing it.

I saw reports of it when it happened. Think it may have even hit Drudge. Of course it didn’t have legs. Gone and forgotten in 48 hours.

It’s not “news” when an armed citizen thwarts a violent crime. Reality is not welcome. It’s bad for the narrative.

A recent WSJ article mentioned that the new president is working to relax gun laws in Brazil. The usual “blood in the streets” predictions were of course included.

Lyle – IIRC from when it happened the lady was a copper of some sort, not an ordinary citizen – Brazil has VERY restrictive gun laws.

You can find more video of this on the ASP u-tube channel. IIRC, she was an off-duty military cop.
ASP posts a new video every day of self-defense incidents around the world. LOTS of them from Brazil. Very useful for seeing the human dynamics of criminal actions and potential counters to them. One of the things you learn is that compliance is not always a healthy choice.
