The article quotes a comment of his from 2009: “I take a back seat to no one in my reverence for the Second Amendment.”
He clearly doesn’t mean that — given that he’s willing to head up the ATF.

And this is why I stopped contributing to the FOP.

I wonder how long his nose grew.

Jeff, I stopped contributing to FoP in ’07. They started calling me twice a week wanting me to contribute. I told that I could not afford to contribute that often. The jerk’s reply; “Maybe I should give your local PD a call and tell them that you have no respect for LEOs”. My reply; “Fuck off!” And I hung up. I’ll never contribute to or say anything respectable about those assholes ever again.

He takes a “back seat” to me in that the 2nd Amendment reiterates the absence of any delegated powers that the fedgov has for gun control laws pertaining to the People. Without delegated powers the fedgov may LAWFULLY do NOTHING according to the plain wording of the 10th Amendment. So there is NO delegated powers for the existence of the agency he is to head.

He talked about how much he loved the second amendment while supporting Sonia Sotomayor for the Supreme Court.

Sotomayor opposed applying the 14th Amendment to the Second Amendment in a lower court.

I’ll believe Chuck is actually pro-second only if he starts doing things, not mouthing them.

Let him open up gun imports again, for starters.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
