Via Joe, I learned that if you are a member of the Firearms Policy Foundation, you can keep your bump stocks as their case progresses through the courts. You can join here.

Joined earlier today.. Apparently they got an emergency stay, but it’s only good for their organization’s members, thus if you become a member, you’re good as long as the stay is in place.

I thank FPF for their hard work in this matter.

However, *IF* I possessed one of the items in question, the LAST thing I would do is to voluntarily put myself on some list.

Q1. What happens to those who become members of FPF, if it is decided that action did not confer protection?
Q2) What happens to those who become members of FPF, if the case does not go in FPF’s favor? C/would these members’ names become known to the public? ATF?

Some Nazi Jerzey gun-owners joined Gun/Shooting Clubs to try to comply with the NJ AWB law. Their memberships required substantial amounts of time/money/effort on their part, far in excess of any real or expected benefits.

Well, as long as the authoritarians have us scrambling to the beat of their drum (Sun Tzu reference intended), looking for work-arounds and suchlike, they’ll be accomplishing their objective; we’ll know who’s in charge and we’ll be demonstrating it.

I for one think registering with the court that I am a potential felon might just not be the smart thing to do. And I don’t even own a bump stock.

  5. Old NFO Says:

Interesting, since SCOTUS refused to stay the ban.

Donít you love it how The Major Media, across the board, are calling it ďTrumpís bump-stock banĒ? Giving him credit where credit is due with those fair-minded persons who only want sensible gun control; and most certainly not trying to create a wedge between him and gun owners as though they had all gotten a memo from the Democratic National Committee by way of Journolist?
