The first and second amendments

New Jersey wants to arrest people for publishing gun manufacturing instructions. John has a good round up of the court cases dealing with this case.

Do they want to arrest people for publishing the Bible too? That was once actually a thing in Vatican-controlled territory, and they enforced it with shocking brutality. It’s what led to people risking their lives, giving up everything they had, to come to the New World where they could be free from such bullshit for a while. Then their descendants formed the United States. Then their dream began, pretty much right out of the starting gate, to be errodded here too. And here we are, getting back into the same bullshit all over again, but now there’s nowhere left to run.

Well Lyle, you know the Bible’s got that “hate speech” in it–they claim.

  3. Mike Says:

We should advocate for a Federal law, clarifying that lawmakers who pass laws that infringe civil rights be prosecuted for same.

  4. JimB Says:

Well Mike just who at the federal level will get behind a law like that??

Having spent a fair amount of time in the mid-Atlantic and New England while my in-laws lived up there, there really weren’t that many places left up there that still felt like “America” to me. Maine reminded me of Tennessee or Alabama (nice people, good food, folks just want to be left alone), and the rural parts of Connecticut were actually pretty nice, but I honestly can’t figure out why anyone lives in New Jersey or most of Massachusetts.

    poobie writes,

“Maine reminded me of Tennessee or Alabama (nice people, good food, folks just want TO BE LEFT ALONE) …” Yes! Once upon a time that was the position of classical liberals as stated here by a liberal SCOTUS Justice:

“The makers of our Constitution undertook to secure conditions favorable to the pursuit of happiness. … They conferred, as against the government, THE RIGHT TO BE LET ALONE — the most comprehensive of rights and the right most valued by civilized men.” –Louis D. Brandeis, SCOTUS Justice
    Dissenting, Olmstead v. United States, 277 U.S. 438 (1928).

But now, most so called liberals have come leftist authoritarians who want yo rule over us–in violation of the classical liberalism mandated in ALL of the Bill of Rights and a government constrained by delegated powers!

The U.S. Army published instructions to how to build firearms out of commonly available items in a hardware store. It’s TM 31-210, readily available in print, e-book and PDF. Section 3 covers making a 9mm pistol. Here’s a link:

  8. Old NFO Says:

ASM beat me to it. And I’d like to see them try to sue the Army! 🙂

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
