Ammo For Sale

I carried one for years

Glock 30, a forgotten glock. I bought mine during the assault weapons ban. And my thinking was that if I was limited to 10 rounds, it may as well be ten rounds of .45 because “stopping power”. That was kind of ignorant. But that’s what people thought back then.

Not sure it was wrong unless you could foresee the ammunition revolution in the last 24 years.

Lost? I just bought a new one. I have an original, gen 1.5 (no rail) G30, and wanted one I could put a light on.

But to be honest, I carry a G43 most of the time.

    I had a 30, sold it.

One of my (stupid) carry ideas is a glock subcompact in 10mm auto or with a .460 Rowland conversion on it, and a grip plug/back plate engraved with a cricket. I already carry a Glock 26, so it’d be pretty close to what I’m used to, just slightly more suitable for the bears and moose and such up north.

Excuse me for being ignorant of your practices “up north”, but your bear and moose are armed ? Damn sporting of you chaps!

How do they carry ? Shoulder rig ? IWB ?

Oh c’mon. SOMEBODY had to ask! 🙂

I bought a Glock 29 to CC in CA for the same reason. I sent the piece to get the finger grooves removed and it is now my daily carry gun. Here in Texas.

I don’t see what is ignorant about that. Seems logical to me.

And thank you Brady Campaign. The 10 magazine limit is what led to manufacturers introducing more guns for larger calibers.

Bear in mind that most all of the ammo out there for pistols is BALL. Most practice ammo, all military ammo, old ammo, etc.
If the SHTF, most people are quickly going to end up with their defensive guns loaded with the stuff. .45acp has a much better track record for putting people down with ball than 9mm does.
It is also generally the best feeding ammo for most all the autos floating around out there.
Will things ever get that bad? History says yes, unfortunately.

  9. Ron W Says:

@Will, that sounds like good info to me. I bought a Glock 21, private sale, from a friend several years ago. His brother had owned it, kept it at home for self defense and had probably never put any rounds through it. After he passed away, my friend didn’t want it, so I got an “undocumented”, like new, 13+1 round, .45 at a trade-in price.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
