TSA at work

An agent missed a loaded gun. Airport security should be privatized.

As I recall, in testing, TSA missed about 80% of what they were supposed to catch. Or was it 90%?

Had I been the owner, I would not have alerted the airline agent. Just because the police used common sense in this case and did not charge him, most would have. I would have left the secured area where I would be legal and then figure out where to go from there. If the airline could not retrieve my checked luggage for me to check the gun, I would check another bag (carry on or buy a new one) or do what I need to do to legally get the gun home.

I took a flight last month and they pulled my wife aside for her vaping device to give her extra scrutiny. I tripped the metal detector with my belt buckle so still had to remove my belt even though we’re pre-check.

Long story short we’re sitting at the airport bar and she’s still complaining about her TSA treatment and I reach down into my pocket to grab my phone and notice that I still have my pocket knife clipped to my pocket. Oops.

I simply stashed it in my backpack and never said another word about it until we arrived at our destination and were in baggage claim outside the secure area.

    I call it Security Theater.

Somebody forgot their 5th amendment. Once you’re through security STF-up. The gun was no danger to anybody as long as he kept positive control of it. Now, the return trip sure – Check the firearm properly.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
