Targeting political enemies

The latest:

New York and other states are targeting the NRA’s bottom line

Several states are examining how the NRA makes money on gun insurance policies, and New York is warning banks not to do business with the gun group.

I always thought the Carry Guard insurance seemed a bit, well, unusual. And I’m not certain how effective it would be. Regardless, being targeted by a sitting governor doesn’t sit well with me.

Cuomo dominates in this fight with NRA. They’re not even trying to fight back. Cuomo is laughing at their lawsuit and he’s using it for fundraising.

  2. Lyle Says:

“Conspiracy to Deprive rights” (18 USC 241) and “Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law” (18 USC 242).

They’re federal criminals, subject to arrest and prosecution in federal court and all we do is complain, trying to convince them that they’re factually wrong.

They’ve already killed people, and others have died as a result of blanket disarmament via legal and financial encumbrances and disinformation programs. So long as the titled, the office-holding and the badge-wearing perpetrators walk free there is no justice being done. Therefore it will will get worse and we will have asked for it.

How is the fight against the NY SAFE Act of 2013 going?
New York is striving to reach NJ levels of gun control, and succeeding.

    Fixed it for you.

It’s tossed around a lot these days, but this is actual fascism, at least in fascism method of directing “private” enterprises in what, how, at what price and to whom they can sell.

If we want to be nice, we can call it interventionism.

“Finally, we still have to speak of interventionism. According to a widespread opinion, there is, midway between socialism and capitalism, a third possibility of social organization: the system of private property regulated, controlled, and guided by isolated authoritarian decrees (acts of intervention).”

  6. Jay Dee Says:

Frankly, I think Cuomo is simply using the NRA for campaign purposes. Frankly this is war and it’s time we started responding.

I think the NRA should declare bankruptcy, lay off all New York employees and simply walk away from their headquarters. Let the state deal with it. It will require environmental remediation because it has a shooting range in it. Let the state pay for it. Make sure that the loss in taxes and the costs are well publicized in NY state.

Reform the new NRA in a friendly state in the Midwest.

I’m no lawyer but maybe members of the old NRA could form a class action lawsuit against Cuomo and NY state; all those life members suing for loss of fees and services. Force NY to defend their illegal actions in federal court away from friendly Cuomo cronies. I suggest filing this lawsuit in Wyoming or North Dakota. I hear Bismark is wonderful in January.

  7. Gun Politics NY Says:

The only thing Cuomo cares about is himself and the only way to hurt him politically and damage his 2020 ambitions is for NRA to declare a firemission for the Democrat primary and tell NY members to go and vote for Cynthia Nixon. That will force him to spend time and money and the more votes Nixon gets the weaker Cuomo will look when ’20 rolls around.

  8. Bill Llewellin Says:

Cuomo’s actions are a direct interference with interstate commerce and are forbidden by federal law. The NRA should sue to have him removed from office and held personally liable for any losses they suffer.

  9. ParatrooperJJ Says:

Wait what building do they have in NY?

  10. Gun Politics NY Says:

As far as I know they don’t have any, unless they consider Ack-Mac. NRA was incorporated in NY.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
