A list

Top 10 movie gun fights. Some good ones there.

Jesuit Theater; one of the banes of modern existence.

I note how impressed we are by those few instances wherein they get something, anything, mostly right.

The final, protracted battle in Open Range might qualify, but for Kevin Costner fanning a nine shot “burst” from his Peacemaker, and a blast from a shotgun tossing a grown man as though he’d been hit by a locomotive.

Quigley of course demonstrates super-human speed and accuracy in all manner of gun handling, putting even Jerry Miculek to shame.

I agree with a comment on the original article – BOTH final gunfights in Magnificent 7 – both the Yul Brenner version and the remake!

  3. Stretch Says:

    Piffle!
Any 5 randomly selected ones from Eastwood’s spaghetti westerns.
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. – final shootout.
    High Noon.
Once Upon A Time In The West – opening gunfight
    The Magnificent Seven – original
    And the best gunfight:
    “Fill your hand’s you sonofabitch!”

The Heat scene is so good…and there is no gun-kata in it.

    Nice list

And for de-escalation of potentially violent situations, the Italian movies about Trinity are wonderful. /s

All those are nice and entertaining, but for how famous “gunfights” prolly really happened you want the ending of Bonnie and Clyde.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
