At least 10 dead in a school shooting in Texas. The shooter, in this case, used a revolver and a shotgun. He also had pressure cooker bombs and pipe bombs.

At least once again lives are saved because there’s apparently no intersection between kids who are mass murderers and kids who know how to build things.

Eventually, one of these jackasses will build something splodey that works, maybe not on the scale of Oklahoma and Tim McVeigh, but with enough kaboom to take down a few school rooms or a cafeteria full of kids.
It isn’t hard. In my years as an academic Chemist I saw things happen several times just through other people’s idiocy that could have escalated into such a disaster.
And for the love of all that’s sane don’t tell any of them about how gasoline burns.

I teach high school science. The number one question I get from Chemistry and Physics students is “When can we do a lab to blow things up”

Yeah, this latest murder perp used the wrong guns, a revolver and a shotgun. Same story, he broke current laws. And same story, the reactionary left says we need more laws against the people who weren’t responsible.
