Criminals are criminals and use the tools available to them. This fairytale thinking, by those not deliberately intent on disarming the populace to foist their own tyranny upon it, that if all tools are banned criminals will cease criminal behavior is insane and as dangerously misguided as the fools who think evil can be reasoned with when it can’t.

I, for one, wish the criminal element of England would begin using pointy sticks and bricks exclusively for their depredations, so that the reductio ad adsurdum of gun control would be reached sooner. The anti-self-defense folks could insist that London be paved over completely, leaving only a flat surface devoid of all potential tools of crime.

The Brits must ban knives. The criminals will take up bricks, bats, and tire irons. These will subsequently be banned, the spiral will continue down until we arrive at bones and broken rocks. Thus we arrive where we began, 4 million years ago.
