Hoplophobia

A city has banned guns at a Civil War enactment. It seems they’ve allowed it in the past and now are not. They asked them to use wooden sticks instead.

If it saves the life of just one old-timey 1800’s child dressed like Little Lord Fauntleroy, I’m in favor of it.

I am certain there is some city authority, either the mayor, a council member, or some functionary, who came up with this, and then after a few minutes thought, “If only they had thought of this in 1861!”

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
