Ugh

A tracer round started a fire at an indoor gun range.

Every range I’ve been in has listed the allowable types of ammo, basically all have stated FMJ/Ball or some sort of expander is A-Okay. Anything else is verboten.

Wonder if this range had such a sign, and whether they will take action against the shooter.

Tracers are pretty reliable fire starters, and they’re sometimes amazing at it. Bullets that contain iron or iron alloy jackets are also pretty good at it, especially when shooting steel targets.

Tracer rounds are really good fire starters 🙂

Andrew.. you mean a ban and a sign didn’t work?

    Ravenwood,

I know, who woulda thunk? Serious duh moment.

I can see it now, full TSA patdown next time I go to the range looking for ‘the majik bulleets!!!’

Stupid burns. In this case, actually burns.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
